WT Group Hit a Grand Slam at the Aquatic Engineering Leadership Reception

WT Group recently held its Grand Slam Aquatic Engineering Leadership Reception to honor clients and introduce WT Group’s incoming Aquatic leaders. The event was held at the new Park at Wrigley and American Airlines Conference Center at Wrigley Field, the home of the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs. It was a great night in a very cool venue that allowed everyone in attendance to honor valued business relationships as well as celebrate the Cubs World Series championship. After all, can we ever celebrate that enough?

WT leaders and clients enjoyed an evening reception full of pleasant conversation with a backdrop overlooking the dramatically lighted stadium. Attendees posed for photos in larger-than-life Instagram frames, #WeAreWT, to mark the occasion. Baseball shaped stress balls with miniature sneakers were handed out to help everyone stay “Chicago-Cubs-style” cool, calm and collected during hectic days.

“It’s fitting that we are gathered here in the home of champions,” said Jim Lueders, president of Aquatic Engineering, WT Group, “because that’s how we think of our clients. They give us the opportunity to do extraordinary work and be involved in innovative projects that lead the industry.” Lueders will be retiring in 2019, so he took the opportunity to introduce the incoming leadership of WT Group’s Aquatic Engineering Team including, Ryan DiFatta, Principal and Tyler Dailey, Principal. “These highly trained gentlemen will be taking the company well into the future with skill, experience and insightful planning,” he said.

Troy Triphahn, WT Group COO, echoed Lueders’ sentiments. “An evening like this is truly a grand slam; great clients, remarkable staff and a spectacular venue. It was an occasion to thank clients for their business, loyalty and for always giving us the chance to stretch the envelope with innovative ideas built on proven engineering principals.”
