WT Group’s Troy Triphahn Named a 2018 Top Midwest Young Professional by National Engineering Trade Journal

Hoffman Estates, Illinois, March 22, 2018 (Newswire) -Troy N. Triphahn, chief operating officer of the Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based WT Group, has been named one of 2018’s Midwest Top Young Professionals by ENR Midwest, an online service of the engineering and design industry trade journal Engineering News-Record.

Triphahn was one of a select group of 21 young engineering, design and construction professionals identified by ENR Midwest as having “built extraordinary industry portfolios, donated significant amounts of time and expertise to serve their communities and worked on innovative industry solutions that saved time and money on projects across the U.S. and abroad.”

The honorees, all under age 40, were nominated by engineering and design firms and construction companies that make up ENR Midwest’s readership. In addition to noting Triphahn’s role in helping to direct the growth and success of the engineering practice begun by his grandfather in 1971, ENR Midwest highlighted his involvement as a Leadership Board Member with the Children’s Advocacy Center of North & Northwest Cook County and his role as Chairman of the Friends of HE (Hoffman Estates) Parks Foundation. Also cited was his leadership of the WT Foundation, the charitable branch of the WT Group. The WT Foundation presents scholarships to deserving high school students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

“I am truly honored to have been recognized by ENR Midwest as one of their 2018 Midwest Top Young Professionals,” said Triphahn. “When you look at the caliber and accomplishments of my fellow honorees, I could not be prouder to have been considered as a member of this group.”
